NOSRATOLLAH MOSLEMIAN
Contemporary Iranian Artist
Biography
Nosratollah Moslemian (b. 1951, Salmas, Iran) is an Iranian painter and lecturer whose practice combines expressive drawing and painting with elements rooted in Persian visual traditions. He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Tehran and has taught at several universities and art institutions in Iran.
His work is characterized by expressive lines, simplified and fragmented figures, and compressed pictorial spaces. Drawing from both contemporary experience and Persian artistic heritage, Moslemian often creates psychologically charged scenes that balance figuration with a distinctive graphic language.
His work has been presented in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Iran and internationally, including exhibitions and art events in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. He has also received recognition through major international art biennials, including the Beijing International Art Biennale.
