PROFILE
Sara Tayareh Khajouei is a concept artist and the founder and director of PRLX7. Her practice begins with the development of ideas and concepts, with particular attention to how a concept can unfold through a project and become an experience for its audience.
PRACTICE
Concept development is at the centre of Sara’s creative process. She is interested in building the conceptual and narrative structure behind a work, considering how ideas can be introduced, developed and encountered through different stages of a project. Human and psychological questions often inform this process, while interpretation remains open to the viewer.
APPROACH
An idea is not necessarily a conclusion. It can be a point of departure, a structure through which a work invites another perspective.
PRLX7
Sara founded PRLX7 as an independent platform for developing and connecting contemporary art practices, projects and perspectives. Her role encompasses its direction, development and ongoing expansion.
