Biography

Roxana Manouchehri (b. 1974, Tehran) is an Iranian-Irish visual artist and curator based in Dublin. Working primarily across painting, drawing, installation, and mixed media, her practice explores the relationship between contemporary life, memory, nature, and cultural identity. Drawing on Persian miniature, Islamic geometric patterns, calligraphy, and European medieval and Persian manuscripts, she combines traditional visual languages with contemporary forms. Manouchehri holds a BA and MA in Painting from the Art University of Tehran and has exhibited extensively internationally, with solo and group exhibitions across Iran, South Korea, Europe, and the United States. She has also undertaken residencies and participated in international art fairs and biennials.
