REZA PANAHI
Contemporary Iranian Artist
Biography
Reza Panahi (b. 1981, Tehran) is an Iranian painter whose practice draws on private mythology, Persian miniature, and the visual language of archaic civilizations. His paintings bring together fantastical creatures, animals, plants, and human forms, often arranged through symmetry and repetition. Working primarily across painting and drawing, Panahi explores imagined worlds and universal archetypes through highly detailed and symbolic compositions. His work has been presented in more than 20 group exhibitions and 8 solo exhibitions in Iran, Spain, and Germany, including exhibitions at the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art, Laleh June Galerie in Basel, and galleries in Tehran and Frankfurt.
